Rev. Fr. Cleophas Dominic Fernandes, a priest of the Archdiocese of Bombay, has dedicated his life to pastoral ministry, family enrichment and theological education. Born on September 25, 1947 and ordained on April 24, 1976, Fr. Cleophas brings decades of experience and wisdom to his roles in the Church.

Fr. Cleophas holds a Master's Degree in Pastoral Theology from the Catholic Institute (University) of Paris and a Bachelor's Degree in Arts, specializing in Psychology, from the University of Poona. His academic foundation, coupled with his pastoral zeal, has equipped him to serve in diverse capacities within the Church.

Over the years, Fr. Cleophas has held pivotal roles, including:

Rector of St. Pius X College Seminary, training future priests.

Director of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre, Mumbai.

Director of the National Biblical, Catechetical, and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC), Bangalore.

Coordinator for Network Pastoral Asia (MISSIO), fostering collaboration across dioceses in Asia.

Parish Priest of St. Andrew Church, Bandra and St. Pius X Church, Mulund.

In June 2018, Fr. Cleophas was appointed the Director of the Snehalaya Family Service Centre of the Archdiocese of Bombay, officially assuming the role on June 1, 2019. Under his leadership, Snehalaya continues its mission of strengthening families through counselling, marital preparation programs, vocational guidance and family welfare initiatives.

Fr. Cleophas is also a respected speaker and writer mainly on topics related to pastoral issues, family life and theology. His insights on family dynamics, the role of the Church in fostering healthy relationships, and spiritual growth have enriched countless individuals and communities.
